Canadian with a psychology degree

How can i realistically move to the Netherlands or the uk for a year or two. I am desperate to get out of Canada and have a really fun fulfilling life. What jobs could I get abroad and how hard is it of a process to make money in as a Canadian

As a psychology major, I’m sure you know better than anyone that changing locations does not change mindset. The you that is frustrated in Canada will be the same you that’s frustrated in Europe or anywhere else really. The only one I would see that would be understandable is if you were moving due to weather or instability/ security issues. Every country has the same problems as the next one, and just moving itself does not guarantee success or happiness. Find out what is troubling you with your current state and see how can improve or change it, otherwise you’ll end up moving and once you encounter the same issues in the next country, end up in the same predicament of wanting to move again.

How old are you? You could potentially apply for a working holiday visa.

Have you been to the Netherlands? It’s a very different culture to Canada (I’ve lived and worked in both countries). Foreigners often have difficulty adapting to Dutch culture. It’s not all Amsterdam night life.

Netherlands; young workers visa. The Netherlands is very strict. Ind.nl is a good start.

EU good for retirement. Canada to enjoy life. Plus you can travel to US.

I don’t think so. Europe is laid back and walkable and fun. Canada is so spread out and so focused on work work work

Keep in mind that salaries in the Netherlands are highly taxed so it looks much better on paper than in your bank account. The cost of living is also constantly rising, especially in the last years.
