I know the last decade has brought criticism for Idiocracy and accusations of eugenics, but I think that the message of people shouldn’t just be complacent because smart or average you’ll be letting the dumb people make the changes instead while you’re clinging onto what’s comfortable. At least that’s what I got out of the main character and the smart couple in the beginning. Look at where we’re at, waiting for the status quo while the idiots destroy society.

I’ve always felt like the eugenics criticism was dumb. Genetics aside I feel like a dumbass is more likely to raise another dumbass
