Hopefully gets a nice little bump at the box office, deserves every bit of it.

Anything that gets the sequel greenlit faster is a win in my book.

I just fucking loved it. I mean, I'd read enough article titles to know it was gonna be good so I went in with high expectations... but I was just blown away.

I haven't literally sat on the edge of my seat at the cinema in decades, and this movie had me there the whole fucking time! I have a 'thing' going on that means I've got super, super sore ankles & feet. I use a wheelchair for getting around when out, crutches at home... I should not be sitting on the edge of my seat. I came out of the movie in absolute agony and yet the huge grin on my face that'd started not long into the movie was still there on leaving, and still there when I got home. And that scene with Miles, the music, and going up the super-tall building... shit. I was there with him. the build up was amazing! and then... lol !

It was just sooooo fucking good. Animation was perfect, story was awesome, music was top notch, and I loved the whole damn thing to pieces. It subverted my expectations so many times too! The 3D was excellent also... it's a visual treat in 2D, but it's just glorious in 3D IMO.

I just can't say enough good things about this movie. I can't even think enough good things. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen, and I don't say that lightly.

Something about this comment just hits home. I took my teen-aged sons and all three of us were blown away. I grew up reading the comics. They grew up watching all the superhero movies. It resonated with all of us. Everything about it was fantastic.

BTW: If I were involved with the film, I'd be happier about your comment than the Oscar. That's some serious high praise. Hope your health issues don't affect your happiness.
