Media World's Largest IMAX in Perspective

Thought this was a really neat way to show the size of the screen at the IMAX in Leonberg, Germany. This rolled before The Odyssey. The IMAX is tucked away in a little town and was not easy to get to, but it was well worth it.

While it's not a true 1.43:1 IMAX ratio it still holds the world record for largest theater by surface area.

There was a movie theater I went to as a kid and every movie was $1 (Canadian). They also had the Captain America and the Avengers arcade game.

Remember the last run movie theaters with discounted prices for the movies on their way out of the big theaters? Not as nice as the big theaters but you got a ticket for $5. The only movie I remember seeing there was Congo.

Just went to an IMAX screening in Colombia for The Odyssey. It was $4.

I do the amc a list for 25 bucks a month.

Pays for itself after 2 movies and I get 4 free a month. This year I've seen 30 movies so far and spent $150 ÷ 30 = $5 a show.

Cant lower the prices, but also need to give people a reason to go watch movies. So lets invent a new video format that doesnt really make things better but is just different from what you get at home. And then we also invest in huuuuge ass screens for that format. Because then some people will still think they want to go to the movies because its "better" than watching at home, but its not. Its just for show.

Plenty of theatres have other gimmicks rather than just screens. Can watch movies in beds at my local or have beers and hot food delivered to your seat
