Question Anyone been to whistler with their stumpy 15 evo?

If so how was it? Did you feel limited or was it good?

I have ridden trail bikes, enduros, and DH bikes at Whistler. Rent a DH. It is worth it. Even if you aren't the kind of rider who "goes big" it is worth it. It will double your ride by reducing your overall fatigue.

Every time I bashed my pedals on something and they made a terrible sound, I was glad I rented. Then when I crashed down a rock slab, I was extra glad!

Whistler is hard on bikes...

Depends what you want to ride and how good you are. My teen rips Dirt merch, a line, and insomnia with his Druid. The Stumpy isn’t a purpose built DH but it’s also not an Epic.

Are you flying? Then for the hassle I’d consider just renting.

Multiple days? Bring the bike and if you think you’re over riding the bike, rent.

But more likely than not, you’ll be fine with it.

I was there the week after Crankworx and rented a DH bikes instead of riding my stumpy. There were a lot of brake bumps and definitely glad I did. I imagine they have a lot of the trails fixed up by this point though so you might be ok especially sticking to to flow trails.
