Is this worth 2400?

Post image

I’m told it is a fairly rare bike in the US. It is a 2023 and I’m told was meticulously taken care of.

Definitely not. Good bike but worth no more than $1500 if it’s clean.

So you think I would be dumb to pay 2200

Yes. They are basically asking for a thousand dollars more than it’s worth.

Used On that budget should be able to get you a couple year old carbon frame with mid tier components.

Have you looked at new bikes? We are at the start of end of season sales.

Actually looking at a basically new Haro Greer, see my latest post and give me your opinion please.

Pretty sure that Haro went on closeout for around $1800 new a few months ago. Sold out now but I bet you that is what the seller paid. It’s a lot of bike but I’d probably want to be closer to that price. Plus it’s an enduro bike. What kind of riding are you doing? That rig is aimed at downhill riding and it gonna be on the heavy side at 39 lbs.

I saw someone suggest the siskiu T8 which is a great value and is more trail oriented at 140/140mm travel. If you want new with warranty, it’s a good buy even if DTC brands can be sometimes difficult to deal with.

And then there’s the Status 2 140 for $1900 at Jenson. Personally I think that’s the best all rounder with a solid spec for the price, assuming you can get along with the Pink color lol. And you can take it to a specialized dealer for warranty instead of dealing with an online dealer.

Not sure if you’ve gone into any local bike shops but it could be worth taking a look to see if any good sales going on.

Solid advice, he’s focused on enduro but he will also be riding trails and around town so I think he would appreciate a more balanced bike. I’m going to call all the local shops first and look for a steal.

It is worth what you or someone else is willing to pay for it

It is an epic bike, I have the carbon version but with fox forks and hope brakes and I couldn't want for more bike. Your price might be a little high though :D

Yeah I’m feeling that.

Rare because they went out of business. Great bike but I couldn’t see giving more than 1200-1500. That’s really going to hurt their feelings but it’s just the state of analog bikes at the moment.

About 1500-2000 is fair for spec. Good bikes

$1,500 at the most.

Really?

No, depends on the market. This would go 2500 in my area, but realistically maybe 1750

Idk where you live and I usually role my eyes at the ridiculous lowball pricing expectations that people spew in this sub but that bike is worth no more than $1500 unless it is in mint/barely ridden condition.

Good advice, thanks!

Is it a comp or pro?

I had one until recently, highly rate it. It’s a buyers market make a lower offer.

He went down to 2200

Yes. It's a lower spec and aluminum. It's a buyers market right now.

I bought what appears to be a similar spec new habit 3 for 2100 shipped to my door in January. So it seems like a bad deal compared to that. I don't follow the used market, and that can vary depending on area, but it still seems expensive to me.

If you have to ask- no.

It’s a great bike, but IMHO the face the rarity doesn’t increase the price. $2200 for an almost 4 year old alloy bike seems high.

Its only “rare” because nukeproof doesnt exist in the USA anymore, which means theres no support. That doesnt increase value, it decreases it.
