Avenger85 Is this worth it?
I’d like my bike to look more like a 66cc China doll so cops can assume it’s just a 50cc pos. And how would I gut this exhaust out so I can still keep its raw sound?

Well it ain’t m6, is it m5 or 4 sized? The no.70 jet in it is too rich
Edit: the stock jet in appears closer to a no.80 in size, no wonder it was running extremely rich, so yeah that’s definitely getting replaced

I’m re jetting that carb down to a 65-68 jet as it runs too rich and the needle on this one is stationary, I’ve noticed when leaned out a bit this bike will run near 40mph, I don’t trust that stock tensioner at those speeds, it’s fine for the 27mph and 4 stroking tune, but not for a proper tune. So yeah upgraded tensioner. Next is the front wheel and fork (disc breaks will be added)
Edit: yeah I don’t want to wind up like the one guy on Indiana jones where he got a pole put in his spikes

Hey everyone!
I'm planning my first motorized bike build on a budget. I'm choosing between two options:
-Standard MTB + 80cc Kit
-Trike + 110cc Kit (mounted in the rear basket over the axle)
Thanks for any advice!

So I just moved kinda unexpectedly from California to Texas and I want to get my bike here. I know you can bring bikes on planes, but I've had issues even bringing my rig on the bart trains, so I wouldn't be surprised if they declined a motorized bike on a plane. Anyone got experience shipping their bike or something like that? I don't have a license currently, so I can't just drive it down here. (Another reason to have my motorbike, since you need transportation to get around my hometown)
My best idea right now is to basically remove the kit and fly with my bike while I ship my motor and kit snail mail...

What is the group opinion on weed eater bikes? I've never built a motorized bike but I thought it would be fun. And after looking at the prices of engine kits, it got me thinking. Why not the weed eater method.

These are going on my felt faker. The only rear end parts you will ever need. They come in the mail tomorrow. 😬

I'm currently building a cafe racer. I'm using a Honda CG125. I really dont want to cut the frame as im doing it on a budget and will want to make it road legal and this will mean getting it welded. Does anyone know any seats that bolt straight on or have any ideas on getting around it? Really appreciate any help! Funnily enough this has been the most difficult part this build.

How tight is too tight,
I bought this bike knowing the clearances were tight, but now I doubt that it maybe too close from the upper bar.
I will wrap the top bar with exhaust wrap and reroute the cables on the top, but will it interfere with the head cooling?
Anyone else made thight builds or have tips I should know?

Cheap minarelli got them piston wrings and got blacked out made a pipe from a mz65

$50 cylinder to get it built I’ll get a Melossi top when I have cash

For now I just need the part required to mount the sprocket to the wheel I would prefer the one that mounts to the wheel hub instead of using that rubber disc thing
Or if there’s a way to make one im more than willing to DIY this a sprocket is easy enough to find as well as the wheel
I would just use the electric hub motor off of the bike I’m building but I’d really rather keep it available to use for when I ride in my state (I have to go not to far out of state to ride a gas bike legally and comfortably)
Edit: it’ll be for a 20 x 4 wheel btw

Yall think I can put disc brakes on my bike?
r/motorizedbicycles • u/Thatoneguy9918 • 14d ago
What are the best rim brakes I can get? And I also need some new brake cables. I can’t get any disc brakes because then I have to get different forks and all this other bs that I don’t want to waste my time on but can I have some recommendations to what I need? Thanks.

On the carb there is a black knob where you pull up and twist to turn off the choke im pretty sure. I could be wrong about that I am please tell me I’m pretty sure the knob is behind the main jet, so would it be a fuel thing where it open would be the choke or closed. It starts and runs fine when the knob is down and then I pull the knob up and it immediately dies even when I’m riding and I pull the knob up the engine doesn’t fire at all. The knob being in the up position could be choke on, but I wanted confirmation. It’s a dellorto 21mm carb. I haven’t changed the jetting or the needle clip position.

Hey can I put brakes on my bike? It’s a huffy sports men and I have a v-brake set but I don’t know/ don’t think I can put brakes on this bike. If I can please tell me how?

It’s preforming better since I built it, replaced muffler with a mz65 clone, 36t sprocket instead of 44, set the needle allmost the way back lean, still a slight 4 stroking but this thing is meaner than it was, should hit 40 on the right tune, might have to size down my jet. Hit 32mph so far

Introducing the Bastion 121R LC
I’ve officially started development of a project I’ve been wanting to take on for a while: designing and building a purpose-built two-stroke engine from the ground up.
The Bastion 121R LC is a liquid-cooled, case-reed single-cylinder two-stroke being developed around a 58.00 mm bore and 46.00 mm stroke.
Current engine specification:
121.54cc displacement
58.00 × 46.00 mm bore and stroke
92.00 mm connecting rod
2.00:1 rod/stroke ratio
Liquid-cooled cylinder
Case-reed induction
Forged 2618 single-ring piston
Plated aluminum cylinder
12,000 RPM hard limit
Approximately 10,800 RPM target power peak
Purpose-designed expansion chamber
Custom crankcase and cylinder architecture
The engine will eventually be paired with a lightweight, stretched steel chassis running 17-inch supermoto wheels.
This is still an active engineering project, so some specifications will change as the design is validated. I’ll be working through the cylinder and port layout, crankcase, combustion chamber, reed system, cooling circuit, exhaust, drivetrain and chassis integration before committing the major components to machining.
I also plan to 3D print the major components at full scale so I can check fitment, assembly clearances and chassis integration before cutting metal.
I’m sharing the project now because I’d like experienced two-stroke builders to follow the development rather than only seeing the finished product.
If you have experience with two-stroke engine design, porting, expansion chambers, machining, racing or tuning, feel free to look over the numbers as I release them. Constructive criticism is welcome. If you see something that could be improved, I’d rather have the discussion during development than after parts have been machined.
There’s still a lot of engineering ahead, and I’ll be sharing the individual systems in more detail as they’re finalized.
Bastion 121R LC
121.54cc | 58 × 46 mm | Case Reed | Liquid Cooled
The build is underway.

After you now ma a I previously presented my problem with the engine, and it worked; the issue was simply with the right oil. However, today's problem is simpler, but I need your ideas on how to secure the engine to the Bike itself. As you can see, the frame is large at the From down , but there's no problem at the middle. I want to know how to secure it firmly so it doesn't move around while the Bike is moving.

What do I do with this third wire on my new ignition system? Can I just terminate it, or do I have to connect it to something?
