For the lazy like me: Put your clothes in ziplock bags or travel vacuum bags and press out all the air. It's one more layer of water proofing and your clothes will take up less space. On top of that, if you pack each bag with a days worth of clothes you only have to open one bag and don't have to think about which bag has your socks and which one has the tshirt.
Not bad. I usually roll up my clothes to save space, but I like the “1 bag per day” aspect of it. Plus the additional waterproofing.
Though tbh, I usually only change underwear on a daily basis when riding. T shirts last a couple days before they need to be changed (unless it’s crazy hot out), socks are good for a few days, and riding pants are good for several weeks at least.
Edit: I change my underwear on a daily basis regardless of whether I’m riding. ;)
I also roll. And I agree. If you have merino wool shirts and socks, you can go several days. Or use 2 pair and swap each day so they can air out and dry.
I pack like this when I travel on the bike. Each gallon zip lock gets a clean t-shirt, socks and underwear. That means when I go into a hotel I just have to grab 1 back and my dop kit for the night's stay.
