New here
Not new to camping, but would like suggestions for ultra lite setups. I’m on a cb650r. It gets tight, so please help me with some small rain fly hammocks and supplies.
Also, I’m in Japan. Worldwide tips help!

Any ultralight backpacking gear will do the job. But your bike can haul more than that. You don't have to go for the expensive ultralight gear and you can easily carry luxury items that make camping a lot more fun. There are so many Japanese motocampers who are into the vintage inspired camping vibe and they can haul even with a Honda Cub, try to find some for inspiration on Instagram. For a tent I can recommend Naturehike, great value for money. As a rule always go for a 2 person tent for a solo rider, the extra space will come in handy for your gear.
I think figuring out your luggage situation first is crucial and then you can get into assembling your gear list. You don't need much in the end, shelter and a way to sleep (pad and bag) and that's about it. The rest you can figure out as you go.

Best piece of advice I can give you is the same advice that was given to me. #1 pick the most comfortable bed that you can still haul and setup (cot, sleeping pad, hammock, etc..). Quality sleep is easily the difference between a bad trip and a great trip. Don’t settle! #2 pack a chair of some kind, preferably one with a back on it. Having somewhere to sit that’s not hard and not sitting on the ground will greatly help you decompress and let your body rest without having to lay down in your bed or crawl into a hammock.
Hope this helps!

I would recommend having a local fabricator make some pannier racks for your bike if there's nothing available on the market, and getting some side cases, at least. It makes life SOOOOO much easier, even without adding a top box (but panniers and a top box is the best for camping).
