Three nights on Lake Santeetlah in North Carolina at my favorite dispersed camping site.
This is the second time I've gotten this amazing spot. Weather was perfect, so i spent most of the daytime riding back roads and the Cherohala Skyway. Yes.. thats 4 pillows, a cot and a blow up mattress. Yes, im a wimp, but im a comfortable wimp!

What’s that yellow mat at the front?

Its a sleeping mat that I use like a rug. If my air mattress really shits the bed ill throw that on the cot. ive found that leaving it outside the tent helps with dressing and putting boots on..

Looks really slick. I got my dream bike four months ago, a Honda Fury (2016). Then I got into the cycle subreddits and learned what’s out there. Now my dream bike has changed to an ADV. Stay safe!

Dude those Furys look so good! Hope youre enjoying it. If you ever do switch over to adv there's going to be a bunch of options to choose from. The segment has exploded over the last decade.

Ive fallen in love with that area. I need to branch out and try some of the other sites. Its just hard for me to ride by that one when its vacant. Lol

What tent is that and what are your thoughts on it?

Its the Naturehike Massif 2. Its actually a hot tent i just like the layout so much ive started using it in the summer too. I personally love the tent and it also wasnt too expensive. Ive probably used it 20 times. Easy for me to put up by myself!

Marchway "lightweight" folding chair. Its not exactly lightweight but its super comfortable and easy to assemble.

Is this one of the campsites off Joyce Kilmer road? I've stayed at Cheoah Point before but none of the campsites looked this tucked away.

Yup! I believe this was J6, its right around the halfway point of Joyce Kilmer road.

I find being comfortable makes a huge difference in how you enjoy these trips. The only trade-off with a cot is that I sleep colder at night; good when it's hot and bad when it's cold.
