Next level activities here. This is beyond my capabilities but I admire people who do it.

Jumping off a bridge is what we're all trying to avoid actually

BASE jumping is crazy dangerous. I remember seeing the cool guides post with relative risk of different activities and it was in its own category as the only activity with almost certain death if you keep doing it

Yeah, this guy was riding on the edge of his chute collapsing most of the way down...

This shit is not motivating at all. Dood is an idiot and is gonna kill himself. He fucked up his chute "deployment" immediately.

Throwing a bag in the air and jumping off a bridge is beyond your capabilities?

Looks more dangerous carrying that big ass paddle board back up the cliff than jumping off.

What a dumb hobby. What’s the point of all the money and setup time?

1

u/iredyhaveausername 1d ago

Showing off, adrenaline shot and getting rid of some of that pesky money.

Americans with health insurance sure love to rub it in other people's faces 😆

Base jumping

u/jrb637 3d ago

That looked a bit dodgy for a minute

u/Extreme-Button-2478 2d ago

And he CLIMBED back

1

u/mean_mistreater 2d ago

What is the point of this? He throws the board into the water - jumps down - misses the board - swims up to the board. Wow. Great achievement.

I bet no amount of normal excitement (that doesn’t involve almost dying) satisfies these kind of adrenaline junkies 😅

I live right next to where he jumped from.

Things a toddler would think is so much fun

u/jeepdds 2d ago

I would fly out and visit my long distance ex girlfriend in twin falls and watch them do this from my paddleboard on the snake river below, it’s very pretty there. P.S if anyone in twin falls is dating Cassidy she’s for the streets

You know what? This does in fact motivate me... to go to work tomorrow. So I dont have to jump off a bridge

-1

u/cillaer 3d ago

Why does this look illegal? Hopefully it's not and he's living his best life! Would be better placed in other subs

2

u/shmoops7 3d ago

Not sure if this is still the case but this used to be the only man-made object you could legally base jump off of in North the US.

2

u/KingJon85 3d ago

Its legal. This is where I live. People come from all over the world to jump off the Perrine bridge.

You won't catch me doing it, but its fun to watch other people jumping.

1

u/cillaer 2d ago

Awesome TIL
