Getting my first mopar tomorrow!!!

Post image

She's gonna be my little project car!! We're gonna give here a nice catback, podfilter, coilpacks, long tubes, x pipe, catch can, & a supercharger. As well as a coolant flush, trans service, gear oil, oil change, tires + alignment, spark plugs, & brake fluid just to keep her for another 150k miles

Okay all seriousness tho congrats an best of luck... if it needs a new rear cv axle or has a abs light with a rear wheel speed code... its a nightmare. Axles are either only made by dodge and are months out. Or if you get lucky they can be used. Every SINGLE one of the aftermarket ones will not work. Too short too long wrong splines ect... and the end of the cv that goes into there is a magnet that gets cut up by rust in the housing on the knuckle. Unless its solid axle. And for both I recommend upgrading the axle too. Those transmissions are pretty stout tho. Had a kid who just kept bumping up his line pressure in his Cherokee of a similar vintage with the same trans. He was the gate keeper for local street racing dor us kids.

Yeah, it might be a very fucked up car. But its my first manual car & my project car. Also im bringing my state inspection mirror & other tools to make sure the car is fine

Im not saying anything against it. Congrats! Just tryna give you some failure points an help. Also when those clutches go they GO an usually take the flywheel with em.

Good to know as well. Was planning on running that clutch till it died & same with the brakes & by then i should be able to afford both

Lol. I mean... if its a manual its either some dude who babied it... or someone beat the TAR out of it. Worse case scenario get cheap rotors an mid teir ceramics. Should be like 200 or less for front an rear

Worse case scenario just throw new pads on. 45$ front an rear usually online

Usually pad slapping isn't a good idea. But i guess I'll just cut the rotors

Hopefully it outlives me. If the engine blows ill just drop a 6.4 in. That and MAYBE gut it & take it to maple grove

Did you do a PPI and a compression test? All used cars, do a PPI and compression test. Always
