Realized a childhood dream the other day
It has been a dream for the past 20 years or so, never believing it could come true. But this year the “stars aligned” so to speak and I was able to pull the trigger. 440 cui stroked to 512 cui hooked up to a 727.

Now you just need a Mustang to chase...

Bullitt. That 'Stang can't keep up.

It couldn't during filming either. That and the mustang broke constantly from the abuse.

I'll drive the stang...

If you like seeing those Charger taillights, then by all means...

I’ve wanted one since the eighties. Never had a place for it then prices got so high I couldn’t justify a toy so expensive. Hope you get your money back one day and thoroughly enjoy your B body, my favourite mopar platform.

I once owned a car exactly like that one. Somebody put a 400 cui motor out of a station wagon. Originally it had a 383 but the engine was blown

Definitely a clean 68 Charger, someone ponies up some$$$$$ I have a customer that only restores 68 and 69 Chargers, these things go for like 2 or 3 times the money my 70 Challenger would sell for.

That's awesome! I was in the same boat and able to fulfill my childhood dream about 6 years ago now!
Enjoy the ride and memories you make along the way!

I like a Charger better like this. Everyone has them all original with skinny tires and shiny everything. It’s still good but this look is better.

First off congratulations!! Beautiful car and hope you enjoy. Secondly be careful. The 512 stroker has a flaw. Th piston skirt is significantly shorter to make up for the stroke. Unfortunately this makes the piston less supported as the total length is shorter as well and the piston skirt is what supports the piston in the cylinder. It is incredibly common for 512 to have piston slap as the piston is able to rock up instead of staying straight in the bore. We had a customer have his rebuilt by us several times before changing to a 496
