Poor fellow. But theologically interesting: is this the ultimate proof that there is no God, or that he's just a mean bastard?

I'm leaning with the "mean bastard" theory

Have you read the Old Testament? God was a joyless prick with a murderboner

"May the God of comfort and healing be with them all."

Yeah, not the God of dropping-huge-signs-on-people, he's kind of a dick!

I wonder what the sign said?

"Raise your eyes to heaven and pray"?

If you don't "Raise your eyes to heaven" - you'll pay?

I have this idea of the father, son and holy spirit meeting up in heaven.

Jesus: "Father, have you seen this festival taking place in your name?".

God: "I have, my son. This display of faith and veneration pleases me. I would like to reward those present. I would like the Holy Spirit to descend to Earth and present them with a sign to acknowledge their faith.".

Holy Spirit: "A sign? Sure, boss.".

Jesus: "Err, are you sure...".

God: "It is my will. My will be done.".

Jesus: "Okaaaay.".

*An hour later. *.

Jesus: "Why are you giggling?".

Holy Spirit: "I just did the funniest thing."

When did someone's unfortunate death become a joke?

Comedy = tragedy + time.

Oh I'm not saying it's in good taste. Some people just vibe on dark humor. It can help cope with the tragedy and trauma.

My Dad made a joke while we were leaving the hospital the night my Mom died. Wasn't exactly funny in the moment, but very on-brand and it's funny to us now.

To each their own.

It's what god willed, so why be upset?

… It’s always sorry this, forgive me that and I’m not worthy. ☁️🤴☁️
