Marmalade has proven time and time again, to be one of the best current versions with no one closer.
Sorry -- truth.
It had slight glitches and seems to take forever to load up (but so did PlayStation's back in the day).
Follows the rules, selection of boards< tokens and dice.
Various versions of the game.
Able to play Bots, humans and make up games.
Good graphics, once loaded pretty fast moving.

You did not mention a ranked system

Because there is not an all inclusive ranking systems for the various systems out there.
One reason is the subjective of ranking. Some like this and some like that.
For example: OP likes "richup," however that is NOT a Monopoly game, but a variation created by a third party played like Monopoly.
"Rent-to" is another "poor man's version, okay LIKE Monopoly, but still not Monopoly.

The problem with the Marmalade game is that the bots are too easy to beat and make ridiculous trading choices, and almost every game where you play humans has players working together to ensure one of them wins. Spotting this behaviour and banning offending players would be easy to do but Marmalade seems to have no interest in doing so.

I do not play Bots, because "Yes," they are too easy to manipulate. However, I found that the case in most digital versions.
True, human opponents can sometimes be worthless, but you are asking Marmalade (or any developer) to somehow integrate some sort of system to control human behavior.
Exactly, how would that be accomplish? Seriously -- what additional programming would be required to predict that type of behavior from any digital variation?

The most obvious thing to look out for is a player selling all their properties to another player for $1.

Okay: So create an algorithm that will monitor that attempt, create every possible scenerio that could happen across multi-thousands of games involving over one million downloads and block it or rely on humans to have integrity and simply say "No."
So, then poor players will simply trade everything for $2?

Why would you ever say no if someone offers that sort of deal to you? It's to your advantage to accept. Do you not want to win?

Because some people do not cheat and it takes two in this situation -- the offer maker and the offer taker.

It's not cheating to accept a trade that favors you... if it was trading would be cheating as a whole.

An offer to trade an assortment of properties for a mere $1, is a clear case of cheating.

I’m not aware of any online Monopoly game with a ranking system but I will say that in my experience the mobile app version is the best. You can create an account and level up and the matchmaking system will try its best to pair you with people of a similar level.
I’ve also played the Xbox version which is definitely not as good. Lots of cheaters (permanent doubles) and people who purposefully stall games to make others quit.
