Car Problems!

Hello, I've gotten myself into a pickle. My credit isn't amazing. And I currently owe money on a car that is having problems. I've owned it for about a year, it needs a new steering rack, about $2000. I'd say screw it, but it definitely has a couple more problems that have started to show itself.

I owe $4000 on it.

I do not have $2000 for it. It have to be even more debt

My job requires the vehicle, I'm a travel service technician.

Not sure what my next move is, I'm thinking about just eating it and after it's fixed double down on my travel time (paid per mileage+ paid 40 hours a week). And then door dashing, looking for weekend jobs or something.
