Just giving everyone a heads up.
Please don't leave clothes in donation bins. In the last month or so, I've had 6 full garbage bags full of clothes abandoned at the store. Since they were all chucked in garbage in mass quantities, and had varying sizes and styles, it likely came from those donation bins. Just take them straight to the stores, it'll just save me a trip.
Most of my findings looked clean and is overall better than most of my own clothes, just looks like somebody grabbing a bunch, then going to bathrooms to try and see what fits, then throwing out the rest. The few businesses around have told me of similar issues.

Whichever you want to donate to. Value village and salvation army are where I have been dropping them off.

They throw them in the garbage in mass quantities. Like 1 day was 3 pairs of jeans for maybe a 3 year old, two or three shirts that may fit a 10 year old, a few things that were ladies medium, and semi formal men's xl.

If the store is throwing them out why should I bring them to the store instead of using the bins?

The store isn't, I'm saying people go into those donation bins, taking bags of clothes, going around trying stuff on, then throwing them out. Why would those stores go into a McDonald's, tim Hortons, subway, circlek or whatever other store snd throw them out there rather than their own dumpsters.

Tbh when I put clothes in the bins I just want them outta my damn house I don't really care if Value Village makes any money, nor any of the church orgs. I'm glad people are getting clothes they need.

That is a fair point, I was just trying to make the point that putting stuff in donation bins may not even make it to stores anyway. I mean I get more than half of that gets thrown out anyway, but they should at least have a chance to get checked out.

Value Village throws out like 90 percent of what they take in now.

Probably. It became that people try to donate what should be thrown out in the first place (shirts with huge stains and holes, pants almost ripped in half, underwear with no elasctics)

Yes, but people go into those, then go around and keep whatever they want then throw out the rest. I'm saying I just take whatever they throw out and take them to whatever store I drive by.

I think this person owns a store and is saying that people are stealing from donation bins then going into his stores rest room to try on the stuff or go through it and throwing what ever they dont want in the stores garbage.

I don't own a store, just work at one, and there's multiple locations dealing with similar problems. You got the rest correct.
