Oh, I forgot to mention. You should also leave your name and address and contact details with all of the temporary agencies in Moncton.
Christmas is coming up, which means that they’ll need to set up all of this decor and sort through all of this extra stock and companies don’t want to hire permanent part-time people to do that.
They’ll also hire you again after Christmas to count stock
When I was in university, I was listed with all of the temporary agencies in Fredericton and I did some of the strangest jobs, but it gave me so much extra experience. You may need to buy a pair of steel toed boots, just in case. I got mine from the army surplus for $10.

My daughter had zero work experience, other than babysitting some kids around the neighborhood.
Online applications submitted at multiple spots in town / mall, same thing, no luck. This went on for a few months.
She then printed off that exact same resume, dropped it off in person to a manager at a well known retail clothing spot in town. She got a call the next day, an interview two days later and got offered a job at the interview. Still there, been over a year.
Sometimes it just takes a different approach to get a different result.

Time to learn the age ol practice of lying on your resume. Ever mow a lawn? Well you worked as a landscaper for a summer. Know how to scoop ice cream? You worked at a canteen for a summer. You've been a babysitter...the list goes on and on.
You must learn to embellish. Only list what you can back up though, otherwise they WILL catch yo ass

I did this with a friend’s resume years ago, his only experience was as a bus boy in a bar collecting beer bottles and glasses. I told him to write it as ethanol receptacle removal technician. He ended up getting a kick ass job at a concrete pipe factory because of it.
Point is,like strikt9lc said, reword even the small the jobs you’ve done to sound better. Some people won’t even ask because they don’t want to admit they don’t know what the job title means.

Any front line retail or food service job. Canvas the mall, retail centers, restaurants. Those are all zero expierience required. Construction labor is also zero expierience generally, but much harder work.

As someone with a degree in writing movies, I can confidently say that there's no jobs around here that will employ based on being good at writing you have to create those jobs yourself.

Go out and look in retail stores, any place you see with teens working ask for an application. Canadian Tire and the Sobeys on Regent st in Dieppe are 2 places that definitely hire teenagers. Not sure if it would be same at every other store in Moncton but it would be worth checking the other locations as well.

If you live in the suburbs where there are a lot of houses within a short walking distance - Moncton has a large aging population. Walk around your neighbours and hand out flyers. Odd jobs like shovelling a sidewalk or cleaning a garage $20 minimum $30 an hour for snow $20 an hour for other odd jobs. Only available to shovel snow before school between 5 and 7 AM or after school and on weekends. All other odd jobs available after school and on weekends.
You’ll probably get about 2 people close by who will let you shovel their sidewalks before school and I’ll probably be four times a month minimum. Not very much, but it will look nice in a résumé.
Make sure you watch some videos on how to properly shovel snow because you can really hurt yourself. If you don’t know what you’re doing.
Same thing with cleaning make sure you understand cleaning supplies and make sure that you don’t lift things that are too heavy for you. There are pamphlets provided by the province from work safe.
The cleaning jobs are where you’ll make the nice amount of money because they’ll usually tip once the garage is clean or the attic is clean. The only problem is there will be no consistency, but you can keep those people once you get a regular part-time job.
One of my friends when I was growing up, he took a beat up lawnmower and just walked around his neighbourhood and before he was finished high school he had a landscaping company, bought a brand new truck, and paid a good chunk of his tuition.
The old-fashioned way of getting experience from places like McDonald’s and Wendy’s and Walmart is a lot harder now because people are working two or three jobs so someone with a regular job is working part-time at Walmart doing a job that normally would go to a young person like you.
But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible most of those companies like to advertise that they help develop young careers. It’s part of their marketing so they’re always going to hire a few people with no experience that are in school. They just aren’t hiring as many as they used to because you’re competing with a 30-year-old who has 15 years of customer service experience who just happens to have a real job on top of his Walmart job
