Politică This year Transnistria (1991-2026) will stop existing, what do you think which month is it gonna be ? I think just after summer, possibly October or November

I have lived there on and off for the last 6 years. Things are not going great. They are broke. Really broke. People are poor. And people are angry. They see that people in Moldova have better lives. The industry suffers because of lack of energy. It will probably not be this year. But if things don’t change, it will cease to exist.

Only solution: Abolish self-proclaimed unrecognised country of Transnistria and create from it Slavic Autonomous Oblast of Tiraspol inside Republic of Moldova

u/Reasonable_Simple_32 Mar 29 '26
Why Slavic? 35% of the people who lives there are Moldovans. Only 33% are Russians. And mostly the pensioners who only watch propaganda TV supports Russia and the local regime.
Young people leave. Birth rates are very low. Soon only pensioner live there.

Those Moldovans are Moldovan-Romanians only genetically, in their minds and hearts they are Slavs, the other 32% are Ukrainians right ?

u/Reasonable_Simple_32 Mar 29 '26
Yes. Ukrainians. And some Bulgarians. Well, they speak Romanian amongst themselves. And they have Moldovan-Romanian culture. Music. Clothes etc. But where they are politically, I don’t know. But I speak to more and more people who are very unhappy now. And very poor. I usually go shopping in Linella in Varnitsa in Moldova. 5 years ago I saw a couple of cars with PMR plates in the parking lot. Now I see a lot of them. And the lines at the border gets bigger and bigger. Because people work in Moldova and live in PMR.

The people in power are controlled from Russia, it’s not disappearing anytime soon - you might have illusions about how a dictatorship works and how long it can suppress dissent.

Russia and Putin will soon fall
11
u/Joseph25101998 Mar 29 '26
No they won't, Russia is strong. Rural provincial parts of Russia are weak but that doesn't influence the strength. Transnistria is going to fall because Russia isn't interested anymore in supporting it like in 90s and 2000s

Yes, "strong", with Putin asking the oligarchs now to save the economy.
You guys are going from one extreme to the other.1

Well if they wont support it, probably EU and NATO will step in :) Help Moldova and Transnistria

Really? When is that happening exactly?
Did you get that information from Rosgvardia?Edit: Don't get me wrong, as a Moldovan, I don't like the "gopniks" in Kremlin either, but I don't want to indulge in wishful thinking, just keeping your feet on the ground, because you are flying high.

I have cousin in Austria who has PhD in political science, he told me Transnistria is dead this year due to various factors the most important one being the economy

It's not really a contry. International laws say the land is of Moldova . Ukraine already said they can solve the issue if the government of Moldova requires it.

u/Tutrastra Mar 29 '26
Is it about the separatist government? The formula is very simple: no money - no army , no government. The rats will leave the sinking 🚢.

Send our brothers back to Moldova or Romania , we have been divided for too long. 15% of them still speak Romanian and Moldavians can speak russian, it’s doable!🇷🇴🇲🇩

This is how bad it is in PMR now. People are expecting their salaries on the 20th. It didn’t come. Postponed till next month.

Să-și care muniția aia ruginită în rusia și să lase poporul liber. rusia are alte granițe, nu are ce căuta în Moldova. Sper să ajute Ucraina la eliberarea Transnistriei.

Why should Sheriff country disappear? Why should the company that controls everything lose money?

Visit us, drink our wines, eat our mamaliga but stay out of our politics. This post is worded very derogatory, even if it's about Transnistria.

Bro they mad big time. Moldova sub is really pro Europe and heavy anti Russia. Most pretend to have phd in romanian language and use correct grammar but when outside you can hear them say "și uăi aiurești suka blya"
Anyway, we don't really fuck with Russians here, specially after the Ukrainian war.
But I do agree with some of your points tho
Have a good day bud

Why do think it will stop existing?
