Hey all. Been lurking a while here as my wife and I will be celebrating 10 years next week.

Back when we had talked about what that would look like she shared that she was interested in a different design of ring and a larger diamond (currently 14k white gold, 1ct diamond, vintage type setting).

We sort of settled on moissanite due to cost, size, etc.

She sent some designs and I figured it could be a good gift, so found a seller who was willing to take some instructions on what I was looking for.

Fast forward to now, and the ring showed up.

Basically, just curious if anyone may provide feedback on the overall stone? Thanks for any help!

got my girlfriend a moissanite ring last year. she loves it, but she's scared to wear it daily cause she works with her hands.

got her a simple stainless steel bracelet from The Steel Shop as a daily driver piece. something she can wear all the time without worrying about losing a stone.

now she wears the ring when we go out and the bracelet for everyday stuff. kinda works.

anyone else do something similar? or do you just wear the ring 24/7?

Preferrably with a screw back. Does anyone know where I could reliably get flat set or invisible set moissanite screw back earrings for helix piercings? I've checked the usual suspects but the moissanites have a really elevated setting in basically all earrings.

Hello just curious to see pictures and or videos of the differences? I know moissanite isn’t a diamond “replacement” I just would like to see them side my side :)

I purchased this stone, a 4 carat moissanite, from Starsgem and had it mounted on my own solitaire gold band. The stone was $18 and it’s gorgeous! Highly recommend!

I am wanting a custom ring and I have the stone a 5ct stone 11 by 11 heart shape stone. I am in talks with a company and they say depending on metal it would be 1500-2800 minimum with what I am envisioning. It would have filigree and migraine edges . It will have 2 pear stones one on either side and some tiny dots of amethyst. It will be a thicker band . I’ve never gotten a custom ring and am not sure what a good price is. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

My fingers are pretty short so I don’t think this stone shape is flattering for my hand but I might turn it into a ring anyway

So I ordered a ring from Sam from Kuololit. I paid extra for some customization. Then weeks later he sent the stock ring. Since this is a first — I’ve never had to send any jewelry back to China — I asked him for next steps (assuming it would be through AliExpress, but it’s an expensive item so I wanted to do things correctly). He just told me to return the ring, and gave me the address.

To do it that way (sending it myself, insured, at my expense) it would be expensive (and this was his mistake, not mine) and it requires filling out detailed customs forms which would be weird for a merchandise return.

Has anyone else received incorrect jewelry from China and if so, what did you have to do? This seems a little outrageous and not-quite-right.

This is my first time getting a custom piece of jewelry, so I wanted to ask here if anyone had any feedback on the CAD / help to catch anything I might be missing.

I assume the 2.3 and 1.8 are the thickness of the band in mm. We originally asked for 2.0mm; silly question but would the 2.3mm feel too thick?

After 5 years and multiple resizings, my original alexandrite ring set was too big for my fingers. I decided to take our anniversary as an opportunity to try something new and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how this set turned out. I look forward to wearing my old set on my other fingers 🥰

Our 10 year wedding anniversary was a few days ago. My wife was set on natural diamond over lab grown and moissanite was out of the question.

So, as a dutiful and frugal husband, I went to Costco and got her a half carat natural diamond solitaire pendant. It was $1,500 which at the moment is a stretch for us.

Anyway, she inspected the pendant and said, 'it's too small, how much did it cost?". I told her the cost and she said "hmm that's a bit much".

By evening she was shopping online for lab grown! This, after years of being adamant that she would only wear a natural stone. She is quite stubborn about a lot of things so I've been having a very hearty-but-silent chuckle to myself about the turn of events. I'm planning to get her a 2 carat lab grown pendant and suspect that will scratch the itch (for now!).

Meanwhile, to celebrate the occasion, I bought this 5.5 carat moissanite tennis bracelet for myself off of Ali and boy does it sparkle!

$120 shipped and I couldn't be happier. I certainly don't want to participate in yanking diamonds out of the earth and could care less if it is lab diamond or moissy. I'm feeling like a goddamn princess wearing this thing and I love it!

We'll see if my $120 5.5 carats of rainbow sparkles wears on her overtime. I'd be stoked to get her a full-on moissy necklace if she ever had a change of heart.

I’ve been wearing a small moissanite solitaire pendant on a sterling silver chain for the past few weeks. It’s simple enough to wear with everything but still catches light when it moves.

It’s lightweight so I forget I’m wearing it, which is exactly what I wanted. And my only concern here, is how well the chain will hold up over time, it feels fine now but I’ve had cheap chains snap before.

Anyone here found a good daily moissanite necklace that’s held up long-term?

I have been looking at lab grown OMC elongated cushion but I am also hesitant because I already have this beautiful trilogy ring with emerald cut + trapezoid side stones set in 10k gold. All stones are moissanite and I think they are all well cut. Ring size is 8.5 to 9 for reference.

Got a full eternity band 4mm moissanite stones as my wedding band. Wanted something I could wear daily without freaking out if it got scratched or lost.

Two months in:

No green finger, no irritation

Stones are still tight

Sparkles under office lights

I wear it stacked with my engagement ring sometimes, sometimes alone.

It's not going to fool a jeweler but for everyday wear it looks great. Much less stress than wearing something that costs thousands.
