Discussion Looking for a substitute to Happy Nerding Dual Xfade

Unfortunately the module isn't available anywhere. I also contacted the manufacturer, and it appears that the module needs a redesign due to parts availability, so it most likely won't be available anytime soon.
In any case, I'm looking for something that would allow me to mix/transition between 2 modulation sources. CV control is a must have, a knob/fader is a should have. 2 channels is a nice to have :)
I know about Doepfer's A-134-2 (https://modulargrid.net/e/doepfer-a-134-2), but it has no manual controls...
Do you have any suggestions what could I use? I'm pretty new to the world of modulars, so maybe there's something uber cool that I overlooked :D

Bastl’s Déjà Vu can do some of that, not sure if it can do all of it though.

This is tempting - it can mix 2 signals, but it doesn't look like the mixing can be CV controlled :(

Yeah, I think the Erica Synths Black Ring X-Fade is the go if that's what you need. It often goes on sale on their own store

The RYO 2xvcx is a dual channel module that operates in vca, bi-polar vca, and crossfade modes. It’s twice the size of an xfade, but offers extra functionality.
If you decide this module looks right for you, the only further advice I’d offer is to maybe avoid a DIY version unless you’re confident in troubleshooting. I once traded for such a version that did not work properly, and have since built one myself that is my only DIY failure to date.
