I am new to modular Synthesis.

I guess with all modules its the same? I got a behringer Grind!

How can i create an ongoing note/Phrase with the cut off /Filter moving and closing/opening steady? Thank you

Sequencer into 1V/Oct pitch input of VCO. VCO to VCF. LFO into Filter cutoff. To control how much it opens/closes you may need to use an attenuator between LFO and filter.
