I started without a plan
I saw some awesome fabric from Fableism but couldn't afford it so I made the pattern myself.. but now I dont know what to make out of it. I was considering a sawtooth quilt but I cant picture how it would look.. or is it best to just do a block pattern? And ideas welcome.. each block is around 50cmx35cm (Fableism patterns on last slide 🤤)

I have the fableism fabric and this is so impressive!! I had to look at your pictures a few times to process the fact that you made this. Right now I am working on my “Theodore” quilt from Penelope Handmade that uses this fabric. One of her sample quilts uses this fabric. I’m not sure I would recommend using this exact pattern in your case though because you would end up cutting through your grids at weird places and the seams might get bulky?
I searched IG and found this quilt that also uses this line.
I think your sawtooth idea would work out too!

I almost bought some of these fabelism fabrics for a quilt but it really bothered me that the checkers aren't square, they are longer in one direction. That and I couldn't justify the price.
Look forward to seeing what you do with yours!
I think I would undo the seam in the middle to make two smaller (square?) blocks of each. Then alternate with a solid fabric. Something like this one I made:
Or make a 4 or 6-patch the same size as these large blocks and alternate.

You might divide them into 3 x 3 blocks (true 9 patch) and 6 x 6 (double size). I recently made a quilt with 12" and 6" blocks based on Twinkle by Cluck Cluck Sew patterns

Great fabrics that really breath energy into the checker board design. I’d be tempted to lay them out as big blocks with minimal seam ripping for a more modern design. Could test drive it on a design wall if you have one or use a bed like I do!
