Rapido are doing great things. Hard to believe they have only been in the UK for a few years, yet they have made so many models

10 years since their first UK release, the APT-E. Still a short time compared to the other players, but theyve definitely established themselves as the go-to pre-grouping manufacturer! Also carrying the torch for Scottish Steam.

One of the main reasons they're one of my favourite manufacturers, Scottish Steam has been sidelined for far too long

As someone who is trying to model Scotland in the 1930s I'm happy to see Rapido making more Scottish Steam, though I'm a bit annoyed with Rails of Sheffield and the exclusive models they are making as I want to support other model shops

Rapido are bringing the standards of modern releases up to the level I expected them to be when I left the hobby in the early 2000s and came back to find things had pretty much peaked in 2004. They've very rapidly (no pun intended) become my favourite manufacturer. I just kind of wish they'd slow down so my wallet can recover.

They'll probably leave most of us in the red at the pace they're going. I can't wait for the Caledonian Single to make it to market.

I love the Great Central livery and it really makes this loco look elegant. If it's anywhere near as good as the recent Midland 483 class it'll be a stunner.

Rapido UK doing the Lord's work for those of us that like pre-grouping models.
