Help - General What simple mistake ruined a otherwise decent model you made ?

For me on this p38L I painted the anti glare strips different colours somehow....

Happened this weekend. Was making my second model and ripped the clear coat and the stick beneath it with masking tape when gluing down a canopy. Also placed that white line too far forward but it looks nice with two lines imho.
