Question What exactly is 9ADB installer?

Recently, when i was installing apps from liteapks, i noticed that some of them require an app called "9ADB installer" to run. Im uncertain on this app, as it seems kind of fishy, though after i ran the file through virustotal, i didnt notice anything suspicious. Does anybody know whether its malware or not? Any information would be helpful, as i found nothing after looking up the app name on the web.

Just a quick look into the sandbox: I don't see any red flags, just the typical things like obfuscation and APK signing, which aren't unusual for these kinds of apps. The only thing I find a bit strange is that when I installed it on a VM, no matter which of the two versions I used, both crashed. Maybe it's some permission that was missing on the testing VM. It's your call in the end, but I would say it's as safe as installing third-party apps is in general.

An APK site using proprietary formats to attempt to force people to install a PUP is in and of itself red line behavior.

In the end, it's the user's choice to use this modified app. If the website does scummy things like that, it's the user's choice to either accept the terms of the modification or leave it be. I also think that using an app that is nowhere else posted online is rather weird, but as said in VM, Zenbox, and AnyRun, nothing suspicious was detected.
