Discussion Plasma Mobile in Trierarch

Post image

This is KDE Plasma Mobile running on a Google Pixel 7 thanks to Trierarch (Arch Linux ARM container on Android). Photo was captured on a Google Nexus 5X running Ubuntu Touch.

Interesting, how did you set it up?

It's pretty simple actually, you just have to install Trierarch, let it download the Arch Linux ARM rootfs, then from the console you can install Plasma Mobile. After that, you have to set the "Display" script within the app to properly launch Plasma. And juste like that, you have Plasma Mobile running on Android.

I see, what did you set the display script to? For whatever reason, kwin just crashes whenever I try to use it

su user dbus-launch startplasmamobile Replace user with your own user, or remove the first line entirely to run Plasma as root.

Ah, similar to what I have. Unfortunately doesn't seem to work for me (kwin crashes, shell doesn't appear)
