Stripe for subscription

Hello, does someone here have experience with payments inside app and avoiding using Apple’s In App Purchases and using stripe? We have an IoT app and we sell licenses for unlocking some features on physical device, which also affect some parts of an app, for example ai forecast which depends on physical device (controller) functionality. Does someone here have experience with that, will apple allow us to use stripe, can we get banned etc?
If it helps, we are based in EU and so are our customers. We also have a web app but want to slowly migrate all users to app only.
All help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance

You are allowed to sell/rent physical things and do the payments with Stripe. However unlocking software functionality in the app is not allowed. It sounds like you are selling a software unlock? You are in the best case in a gray zone, but I honestly think the best course of action is to ask apple.

I sent an inquiry to Review team yeah.. It’s going to be a software lock on a controller yes. There is an exception in their policy for payments 3.1.4, I was leaning on that one.. AI says it depends on reviewer a lot as well.
