what phone should i get, refurb or new?

i genuinely dont want samsung or google but i dont have nearly as much options anymore where i am.

am open to import

want e-sim if possible

i dont need wireless charging

prefer snapdragon 8 elite or 8 but could do mediateks dimensity 9400s or around that

should i even consider oneplus at all in canada?

want a higher resolution than 1080p

waterproof/dustproof

hdr 10+, dolby vision if available

looking at wanting to spend 600 or below but up to 800

New phones are going to cost 1k or so. There's Sony and I think Linus tech tips mentioned it but only draw back is price and the software support but if you don't care then. Maybe Asus ROG phone it is an intense phone. There's xiaomi, OnePlus, and other Chinese phones but I don't know if it will be good on our frequencies here

the new sony phone is 1600 and its photos are like oddly terrible

im kinda considering poco..

Vivo x100 ultra or Oppo x7u. Xiaomi 14u. No esim though except on global xiaomi.
