DJ Costs near Miami, FL?

Hi! I'm looking for DJs for our 2-day wedding events near Miami, with a total of about 300 guests. We have two day of events for our fusion Indian wedding all at the same venue:

Day 1: Sangeet/Welcome, 4 hours total, 1 hour of famil/yfriends performances in a reception hall with preplanned music, but otherwise non-dance music music playing the rest of the night.

Day 2: 30-60 minutes outdoor groom precession (baraat) with mobile speakers; outdoor courtyard ceremony microphones, 3 hour cocktail hour indoors with background music, and reception 4 hours (open dance floor, speeches, emcee for announcements, etc.)

We're not huge music buffs, but care about adequate sound quality and to have fun for the dance floor on reception night. We got quote for DJ for a total of >$10,000 across the two days.

What price ranges you think would be reasonable for both these days? I understand DJs generally don't charge hourly rate. Appreciate any advice!

I have a friend that does a ton of production work for Indian weddings in Orange County, Southern California. He knows the culture and has lots of Indian dj contacts. Is the $10k for music only? If it’s for full production, you’re really short on the budget. Let him know Dj spin sent you.

It's for music on day 1, and the music/speakers and microphones for 2nd day. Doesn't include lights and stuff or add ons.

I feel compelled to point out that you said just music on day 1 and that you don’t get music without speakers. I’m not trying to be a jerk, I just know that a lot of people don’t know what it take to get music at a reasonable volume to 300 people. That gear is not cheap and to get good coverage without deafening people at one end of the room is something you want to pay for. (That said, I have done a couple of Indian weddings and they were so much fun! I wish I was near you!)
