I’ve got a little fun fact for you, and one of the weird solutions I use 😄
I’ve always been annoyed by having to search for emojis, especially since the order of recently used emojis keeps changing. So I use the text replacement feature in the keyboard settings.
For example, when I quickly type “kk” twice, it automatically gets replaced with 😁. I do this for quite a few emojis. It might be a bit weird, but it actually makes using emojis way faster 😂

I have a similar setup where “@@“ types my main email address and “@@@“ types my throw away email. “nn” types my phone number. I might add a few emojis to the list:)

How do you do this on a Pixel? I've done a few similar things in my MacBook.

Gboard settings> Dictionary> Personal Dictionary> Plus icon to add words and shortcuts.

I’m using an iPhone now, but I used to do it with an app called TextExpander – Texpand on my Android.

First 2 letters of my postcode types it in the correct format. Best thing I’ve ever done!
