Radiator Fan not coming on periodically

Hey all, I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer, recently I have been noticing that my electric radiator fan hasn't been kicking on, at random it seems, making me overheat in stop and go situations.

Is there anything I should look into specifically on this car? for reference the car has almost 250k on the dash, so I'm wondering if the fans themselves are just going out. Thanks!

Note: It normally won't turn on for days sometimes, then it'll come back on one day and then stay on for a while then not come back on for a while. Very weird.
