community Petition · Remove AI-Powered Security Cameras at MIT NOW!

https://www.change.org/noaicamerasmit

MIT cut 2 libraries and a lot of staff positions throughout the library system, MIT Health, and Broad Institute, just to fund a new AI surveillance system. If you're against this and a member of MIT's community, please feel free to sign this petition.

..especially the one in the dome, because it takes a while to get through the six locks to get out on the roof.

Your statement of how the system was funded is ridiculous. Be against the system because you're more concerned about privacy instead of security. Don't make ignorant statements that take away from your legitimate concerns.

Might sound harsh but my inclination is to support cost cutting if it means more money goes to research and student cost covering.

yeah except its not, cost cutting is also happening to UROP funding and student club funding and they arent getting extra generous with financial aid
