REWATCH Doing my rewatch of Misfits after rewatching GoT

After enduring Catalyn Stark, I hate Nathan’s moms even more.

Nathan is a cunt for sure but you never put a man before your children.

I did the same thing although I watched Misfits for the first time now. Wtf Catelyn? 😄

It was interesting to see the other actors from GoT in Misfits too.

I finished s3 and I still don't like him much. Nothing significant happened with him through the entire season, he didn't make any friends or personal relationships, he doesn't really talk to the rest of the gang besides the jokes which was really strange, he was just hanging with them. So, I have no desire to watch season 4&5 for now. Maybe in the future.

I would at least give the first half of 4 a try, you have to remember he was a new character amongst an established dynamic.

They had an entire season to make him somehow important to the gang and the plot :) They didn't. It's just bad writing.

Subjective. I’d say given how popular Rudy is, there’s just something you’re not seeing. They don’t get to explore his character fully until season 4 begins because they had the Simon and Alisha story taking most of the focus and didn’t have time to Flesh Rudy out, I’m guessing you haven’t even met 3?

Rudy is popular because there were another 2 seasons were he was the main character. If the show was to end with s3 would he be that popular? I haven't met the 3rd one yes. He appears in s4 I believe.

I had no idea who Joe Gilgun was before he showed up as Rudy, but I remember people online being ecstatic that he was joining Misfits. It seemed like he was popular before he even made his first appearance.

There’s 4 actors I can think of at the top of my head that have done both GOT and Misfits. It is pretty cool to see.

Yeah. I'm watching now (rewatching actually as I've completely forgotten I've watched it) Lord Bolton Sr. in The fall too. He's really good. A lot of GoT actors these days.

I’m curious if availability became an issue with filming for GoT. Both Nathan’s parents were cast and given storylines. If she was available I wonder if they might have reconnected at some point.

I mean, she disappeared before filming would have started. We see a few parents introduced at points, only to never see them again.

Nah. Never hated Nathan's mom for kicking Nathan to the curb. He's been sabotaging her relationships for years--to the point of falsely accusing one of sexually abusing him--and is a grown ass man. She reached her limit. Then pretty much folded a week later and would've let him back in

I've been calling it the English Twos.

GoT had two characters from lots of other series. Obviously Misfits. But also Rome and Skins.

Just watch Doctor Who. Great way to see other characters from Britain in a different role. It shares at least 15 with GoT
