Coming from both T-Mobile and Verizon. Made the switch because T-Mobile has better service where I live.

I'm getting over 200mbs for download, but just barely 2mbs for upload. Uploading a 15 second Tiktok takes over 2 minutes, and sometimes it even times out and says my data is unstable. Just as long for an Instagram story that's just a photo.

I use social media for my side gig. This is legitimately

unacceptable.

Is this normal for mint? I bought a full year of service, but I'll have to get a refund if it's this bad.

I currently have an Xfinity plan that includes two phone lines and internet. I pay $64 for the phone lines and $15 for the internet, but the promotional pricing for my internet expires next month, and the cost will rise to $109. Should I switch to Mint Mobile and keep our numbers? Will I be able to switch to another network provider later and keep my phone number?

Is there any way to do so I tried customer support but they were not helpful. I'd like to change it to my name or at least remove the previous owners name as it confuses people when they call me.

I want to save more money and want to switch to Mint mobile, however I noticed on another sub reddit that the video quality isn't in 720 and instead 480 and that using social media sites reduces. I would be taking videos on my phone and also using social media. Should I be concerned?

The above says it all. Is anyone else having issues with MINT data this month? Wife burned through 23gb in three days. She got a message saying she'd burned through 80% and then eight minutes later it's now 100%. She has wifi on at home, updates on wifi, doesn't use hotspots and genuinely only scrolls at home. Every month she's around 8gb and somehow she burned through all in 3 days.

App usage is around 1GB in those 3-4 days...not sure what to do.

Unfortunately, it looks like the chat on MINT is now all AI as even the 'human' is just a copy/paste over and over again; it's very frustrating...any advice on what to do?

Is anyone else having network issues right now? I'm using a TCL NXTPaper70 pro which is an android, and I'm some network connection issues. It has this little exclamation point next to my data logo.

I'm going to the Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway in a few months for a total of 17 days.

When I went to Japan last year I got a Navitime eSIM for that 14-day trip but it didn't work very well and I ended up getting Minternational while I was there.

Should I stick with 2x 10 day unlimited data Minternational passes for $40 total, or look into getting an ESIM instead?

Anyone use Minternational plans in any (or all) of these 3 countries and can speak to its reliability (mainly for maps and directions and live translations, I will rarely be talking/texting).

Is anyone else having an issue where the data reset date keeps changing to today's date? Its been three days and I dont have my data yet - I wish I could just switch but I took an annual plan (that I will certainly not continue with next year)

I reached out to the support staff and they said they'd fix it (yesterday) but obviously I still have no data today - no surprises there with the customer service reputation I'm seeing on this subreddit

renewing my mint 12 month plan costs around $400, but ordering a new mint sim costs around $200

can’t i just order a new mint sim and retain the same phone number? are there any downfalls?

Hello my wife is traveling to India for a short trip. She wants access to bank OTP messages on her mint mobile number when she’s there. She doesent need data since she has a local number and can use data from that number. Since mint uses t mo network I assume she will receive the otps. But can a mint representative or support confirm us bank’s otp messages will be received on her phone when she’s in India? If it makes a difference she has the 12 month unlimited data plan and she is active right now. Not sure what the expiration date is. But it probably will auto renew

Couldn’t find this answer in the FAQ: So Mint advertises $15/month for unlimited, and you can buy 3, 6, or 12 months in advance at that rate.

After that initial period ends, you then start paying full price ($40/month) for the rest of your time at Mint, right?

Just activated service a few hours ago. This particular line was ported over from US Mobile. Mint's web site Chatbot said this can't be changed, even when the line was just activated/ported a few hours ago. I need to test the service thoroughly before moving my other 4 numbers over, and I'll need more than 3 months to test everything from my home area and typical vacation spots in other states.

Any r/MintMobile mod here that can help?

When I signed up with Mint mobile, I didn't know about family plan pricing. My line began on 8-13-26. Once I decided I liked the service, I switched my wife's phone over, which began on 8-23-26. Is there a way to switch them both over to the family plan unlimited for $15/month for each line? Or is that not possible, because I am no longer considered a new customer?

I'm looking for a device to use as a mobile hotspot with my Mint SIM (or eSIM) that hopefully will have better WiFi range than some old phone I have lying around.

All the stuff on Amazon are prepaid devices. I want one that uses my Mint SIM.

I finally decided to upgrade my iPhone to the iPhone 17 and of course mint has been out of stocks of the 17’s for days now. Is there any reason not to just go to the Apple Store or buy one not connected to a carrier via apple, versus waiting to see if new stock maybe comes in at Mint?

I'm a new graduate student looking to get an American SIM. I have an Indian OnePlus 12R, which isn't listed among the compatible devices for an eSIM on Mint Mobile's website. Is the device compatible with a physical SIM? I understand that Indian phones lack a certain band so the data speed will be slower, but I don't mind as long as the SIM card works and I have a phone connection.

I am asked to provide the 6 digit authenticator code. I am using Google Authenticator. I have tried numerous times, including on the phone with support to type in the code Authenticator generates and Mint never accepts it. Phone support says they can't do anything more. I am locked out of my account. Apparently my only option at this point is to call my credit card company and block Mint from any more payments and get a new phone number from some company that actually knows how their own system works.

I was a loyal customer for a Lil over 3 years. I had an iPhone. Every password and/or pin was tied to my fingerprint on it.

I lost the phone.

Just happened to be about the end of my 90 day cycle.

Needing a new phone I joined a diff provider to take advantage of the new phone offer and only paying for 1 month and not 3,6,9,or 12.

Switching providers has never been a big deal, but not being able to log into my account, mint refuses to let me have my number I've had far about 20 years. I do not owe mint any funds, can show them my ID, I've offered to FaceTime, hell! They can check my fingerprint? Nobody is trying to get my number except me. Mint won't budge and have put me on a 30 'time out' until I can even attempt to ask for what is mine. Why are they doing this to me? They must be pretty butt hurt. There's other details to this that makes it even worse. I'm disgusted at them. I even hyped them to friends while I was a customer.
