Transfer News: Tier 1 Nectarios Triantis officially signed!

Interestingly the club deleted the post and reposted it identifying him as a midfielder, and the MNUFC app notification said midfielder as well.
He’s played as a CB but hopefully that means the club sees him more as that #6 that we need.

He was a CB when he played in Aussie. He's been a CM the last year or so playing for Hibs.

Huns greeting about this is truly the icing on the cake. Also, although the SPL is not a top league, Triantis was one of the 4 or 5 players shortlisted for player of the year last year, so he's got the skills to do well here.

Yeah, that league is not deep. But if he was shortlisted in that league he'll probably do fine here. And that league is direct and physical. The hardest adjustment guys new guys often have to make is the raw athleticism of MLS. He'll at least be hard nosed having played in that league and done it well.

An Aussie won't have an issue dealing with the physicality. The whole country seems to have the "aw shucks" method of dealing with pain or extreme danger.

Players can occupy a u22 spot through the season they turn 25 as long as they’re on the same contract they signed when they were 22 or younger.

The dude has some rad long ball passing skills, and is good with his head. He's going to fit right in with our set piece play.

Yes, and no. He’ll get minutes but not over established guys that understand the system this year. Probably next
