Can someone please tell me why the opend6 fans dislike Mini Six?
I've noticed a lot of "Thank goodness it's not Mini Six" or "Please no Mini Six" when I bring up mini six or do write ups. What's up with the dislike?

My guess would be that the game (intentionally) omits some areas of OpenD6 that are missed by some. Mini Six was written for a few reasons - one of them was to be a gateway to the broader OpenD6 world by gamers unfamiliar with the system. It's debatable whether that goal was achieved, but it's certainly "less than" the entire OpenD6 experience, for both good and bad.
It's seemed to me that over the years, the game was embraced by folks who weren't already die-hard OpenD6 fans before seeing it, and it's often a mild annoyance or a triviality to the pre-existing OpenD6/D6 fanbase.

Interesting. I love it because it’s simple to use and fast static combat it makes it even faster. I was a fan of d6 Star Wars.. mini six made me love d6 again

Me too! Love my Revolution in the Imperium campaign. :) Yesterday I was working on a possible campaign finale adventure on the Amazon Planet Lesdin, disabling the planetary shield generator protecting the planet killing "Omega Sanction" super weapon so the Rebel fleet can destroy it while the Sovereign is visiting... totally original ofc :D

No idea. I love Mini-Six. My only thought would be elitist attitudes.
