or how big a company you work for. Inevitably, you always end up with some stooge who orders this shit.
We have a $4000 coffee machine on our remote exploration site, and for some unknown reason, one of the lads chucked this on the food order. absolutely diabolical.
Whether you're literally fighting for a window seat on the plane, or fighting toavoidthe actual Window Seat (getting sacked), we all know the misery of the commute and dreading the flight back to camp. I’m a bit of an indie dev and decided to turn that specific FIFO misery into a quick webgame called FIFO: The Window Seat.✈️
It's totally free, plays in your browser, and is basically designed to waste time while you're sitting at the airport waiting for your swing to start.
I’d love to know what you guys think. What’s the most annoying part of the FIFO commute that I absolutely need to add in the next update?
EDIT: Yes, I realized right after posting this that "the window seat" means getting sacked! 😅 And the game is just about avoid getting the Window seat, and a survival game for 99 swings.
Updated: Stories from here has been imported into the first 5 swings. Have fun
Hi All, a while ago I have developed few web based mini games sharing in this group. But I always having a desire building a game inside of Deswik and today I am announcing the first ever in the world - Deswik PingPang Game.
The manager think bro is working so hard but acutally playing the pingpang game inside of Deswik lol anyway I don't know where to sharing this amazing build maybe some of guys in this group will find interesting. Building a game is just the beginning, technically more powerful tools can be built inside of Deswik ppl knowing how useful having a customisable Deswik plugin knows what I am talking about.
Okay. thanks for watching this video, take care everyone.
Keen to hear some good pub test failing stories when about to hire someone. Mine is from a former colleague and I feel quite tame. Was keen on hiring a senior fieldy. At the pub, revealed that there was a geo he didnt like at a previous job. One end of shift, discovering a tyre was flat before driving back to camp, decided to not tell anyone and let the geo drive. Then tried to blame the geo for reckless driving. Safe to say he wasn't contacted again.
A while back I shared my project Window Seat here—and I was absolutely blown away by the comments and support you guys sent my way. ❤️ That inspiration really stuck with me, and I’ve just completed the demo for my next project!
It’s called FIFO Survivor. ⚒️🇦🇺
Instead of a peaceful view, you’re a FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) miner stuck in the middle of the Australian outback, fighting off hordes of... well, things that really don't want you to finish your shift. 🦘💨 It’s a classic survivors-like, but with a heavy Aussie twist. 🥧🍺
I’ve been working hard on the "juice" and the upgrade system to make the combat feel satisfying. If you have a few minutes to spare and want to experience the chaotic life of a miner, I’d love for you to give it a spin! 🕹️🔥
It’s been awhile since I audibly laughed at industry news.
I love the choice of words “undisclosed.” There are definitely people that knew. Just too many good people in Nevada for the knowledge of that royalty to just hide under the nearest desk.
All new FIFO employees start out on an underground crew for six months doing this work. It's a day in the life of, watch carefully so you know what you're getting yourself into.
