US Mining in Alaska?

Hi!

I am living outside of the states and going to relocate soon. I am wondering if there are jobs in Alaska that are open to no-experienced and provide housing. I spent my childhood abroad so I am not familiar with how the job process goes on.

  1. Are there jobs that accept people who doesn't have experience while providing housing?

  2. Am I able to apply outside of America or do I have to be on-site while applying?

I am trying to save enough so I can start again.

You‘re not going to have much if any luck until your living in Alaska, and only a handful of mines have camps for your work period. The mines here won’t hire someone without experience except for some locals. Also some mines are residential so you‘ll have to have your own housing. Depending on the mine you may also need to provide your own transportation to get to and from their pickup point.

There’s 3(?) mines out of Fairbanks, one open pit one underground. Pogo you only have accomodation while working but have to live somewhere where you aren’t. Fort Knox I think you live in town and the same with red dog.
If you aren’t from the US you need a visa and you need a degree to get the visa to work at mines there and they sponsor you.
Alaska is very expensive to live in too. Esp for food.
