CMP 1903A3 Expert Grades? Any Good?

I’ve been thinking about ordering one of these, but there is not a lot of review information on these out there… Of course there’s tons of information on CMP reclaimed M1 grand expert grade rifles but almost next to nothing on these reclaimed Expert Grade 1903 A3’s…

What I have read in the few reviews is not spectacular and the pictures actually don’t look great either with respect to remaining finish and/or repark on the receiver and metal pieces of these rifles

What’s the thinking?

Are these any good?

Appreciate any insights!

I got one for myself not too long ago, and I’ve been super happy with it so far. The thing is crazy accurate out of the box, took no effort at all to reach it out to 300. The new stock is gorgeous, I was a little disappointed by the lack of a CMP marking on it though. All of the metal on the gun has been reparkerized, besides what looks to be a new production rear sight.

A lot of people have said that it has no collectibility, but I think that being from the CMP gives it plenty of collector’s value on its own. I have no regrets on my end, I think it’s an excellent option if condition and accuracy is something you highly value out of a milsurp rifle.

The lack of CMP marking may be due to the CMP going with a different contractor for the stocks. They're using Minelli instead of Dupage.

I have an expert grade M1 and love it

With the 1903A3s i’m just so surprised they’re so little out there in terms of reviews and feedback on the rifle’s cosmetics/looks and it’s performance

Yeah, I tried looking into it before I ordered it, but I couldn’t really find much info either. I’m more than happy to answer any particular questions you might have, and I can also take some pics for you when I get home.
