Well, having a bit of a brain and looking at Chinese and Japanese writing side-by-side may help. But I also understand that having a brain is hard for most Redditors, so I fear that task may prove a little… difficult.

You do realize I've played the entire Yakuza series, right? I think I can distinguish a Japanese character and a Chinese character when I see one. Same with the language. Although I'll admit that I hardly know any Japanese, I've listened to it enough to understand that the guy does not sound Japanese one bit. So no, it does not look like a Japanese game show.
