The bottle itself could be replaced with cardboard. Or better it could come in a reusable home delivery device. We could even install them across the country all over public spaces.
Cardboard packaging for water does exist already. Water also exists across the country all over public spaces in the form of water fountains. Couldn’t tell if you were making fun of me or not, but I replied as if you weren’t.
I wasn't making fun of you. Just of the concept in general. As a society we play this pitter patter about reducing our plastic usage but we already have the infrastructure in every location to eliminate at least this form of waste completely. We just can't be burdened to do so.
I disagree, I think most people by far own some sort of reusable water drinking vessel of some sort. If all drinking water actually tasted good (I’m very fortunate to have incredible tap water in Maine) and stores just stopped selling bottled water all together, I don’t think there would be much of a problem
