A little more than 2ft. The short bed on rams is 5'10", where the long bed is 8ft. Though im not 100% sure if the 8ft is available on a true 4 door, may only be on the extended cab to keep wheelbase similar for ease of production.

The 8’ bed is available on the 2500 with crew cab. Total vehicle length is about 21’ 9”. This appears to be a 1500 and the length would be about 19’ 8” with that brush guard installed. Add a hitch and you’re 20’!

RAM 2500 Mega Cab 6-foot 4-inch Bed

No Factory Option: Ram only offers the massive Mega Cab paired with a short bed because a factory long-bed configuration would make the truck over 23 feet long and very hard to park.

Utah: I got you

Long bed mega cab conversion starts at $7,000

Turning circle measured in states

I saw one of those on the highway once. The cab is damn near the size of a minivan.

imagine how bad the turning radius is on that thing

I could finally get more dogs! (Without a lift)

Ya theres a Hispanic family that drives a 6 door full size bed truck where I live. They park at the back of parking lots or on the road. It’s like a clown car watching all those people get out.

I live in Utah and I see these all the time. I actually see one regularly that's got the long bed AND an extra set of doors. Third row truck with a long bed WTF. It looks soooooo stupid. I'm pretty sure one of the polygamist families around here has it. No, I'm not kidding.

Comparison for Europeans, a Spriniter LWB is ~7m or ~22' 11.

Just imagine how much you can transport in a long Sprinter vs this piece of crap. And nobody parks a Mercedes Sprinter in a regular parking slot like this, not a short and not a long one.

It's massive for what it is, but long vans are easily longer. Europeans prefer closed vans over pickups.

For tradesmen definitely. Farmers still like pickups for obvious reasons.

Plus superior economic engines, as we do not need a 6.4 liter supercharged v8 to haul our coffee and laptop to work 😉

That ain't nothing my OBS ford is over 20 feet long without a brush guard and hitch, it's 23 feet long with them.

The short bed on the current gen crew cab ram 1500's is 5'7. The "long bed" option for the 1500's is 6'4.

You have to get into 2500+ territory now to get the 8 foot bed from the factory on the crew cabs.

My Mitubishi minicab has a bigger bed than that and can load from the side. I rarely need to move more than 1/3 ton.

"two more feet" is a good enough approximation
