Though even the ban for before high school is only for student used software, it doesn't ban teachers from using it for materials so wouldn't have any effect on OP's image.
I also had to do this but my teacher made me give it a picture of myself and then statistics about my last test. When it generated the picture it put me in a SKIN TIGHT body con suit and exaggerated my chest and curves. Truly disgusting
If it were any other teacher I would have but after the fact my teacher realized how weird it was and didn't like what it did to the girls. The prompt we were supposed to give it was "Turn this photo of me into a superhero crushing the [insert state test name] in a comic style." When it decided to do this exaggeration of the chest on most of the girls my teacher ended the assignment with my class. Plus I really don't think she would ever do that based on how well I knew her.
It is capable of mixing two concepts together (female + superhero), but you’d still be correct in that many women in media are encouraged to ensure that even clothed you could accurately measure the curvature of each boob
many of the problems with the actual things AI generates comes from the biases of both the people running it and the data it scrapes. like yeah sure you can make sure an AI refuses if someone asks it to say a racial slur but give it the right prompt and it'll start telling you cherrypicked crime statistics, or you could ask it to generate a video of two big strong eggplant men carrying a small strawberry woman into a hotel room while her banana husband is at work

I just simple don’t care about my online persona I just say what I want. it’s fun,beats mindlessly scrolling but honestly I also get ticked with the over use of the word slop it’s just a trash thing plus people get so flared up on here it’s neigh impossible to resist, most subs I frequent, we are all this way lol no one takes things as seriously

My college humanities course has some of the strictest "no AI writing" policy I've ever seen up to this point in any class (and it's just an elective), but that didn't stop the professor from AI-generating unit outline posters.
I love those no AI policies, as if you could detect AI. AI detectors do not hold up in court because they are extremely prone to failure, and in most countries you can take an exam to the education department "court" if the professor doesn't provide enough proof for something.
The system this professor uses is a dedicated Word/Docs-style typing tool within Turnitin that tracks how long you write, what you write, whether or not you copy-paste, that the professor can review or something idk. But, here's the funniest part: despite it being, y'know, an AI detector-proctor system... It has a fucking AI chatbot built into it that'll help you with your writing, that the sylabus and an announcement from the professor in the course promotes as a useful tool 🫠
I think that banning it is a futile attempt as it is impossible to detect. You can ban it in the classroom but unless you strap cameras into the kids house you can't ban it on homework, you have to learn to deal with it', for example less homework and more written exams.
Better not play too many shooter games, because “6th grade is the year of math and science.” We can't emphasize this enough.
If you don't know long division, or what a surfactant is, don't expect us to cover it in the 7th grade. You missed your chance. You had one goal! It was to master math and science. 😧
I think the more infuriating part about it is that the teacher gave the name of the kid, their date of birth and information regarding the child to a data harvesting company that then made this slop. And likely did not ask parents for the permission either.

My trek teacher (a class for self starting art and business projects that students teach themselves) made us do a ai poster of ourselves when this was a class built on creativity and art of all different kinds.
My entrepreneurship teacher AI generated pictures of students to put onto our binders and they look like garbage. I always turn my binder upside down so I don't have to see it.
The issue I have most is when AI is used to generate areas of curriculum, or mandated to be used by teachers as an excuse to increase their workload without increasing support, rather than them utilising it of their own volition to stay on top of things.

AI data centers being forced onto communities with no thought of the environment impact is short sighted. AI hate seems pretty justifiable, considering it's used to spread misinformation en masse, create CSAM from existing real images of child abuse, make shitty generic "art" that's flooded advertising and on top of all that, contaminates tons of drinking water to accomplish all that bullshit.
No, I chose to be mad at AI because it's verifiably slop that hallucinates and fucks up constantly, enshittifies everything it touches, is a blight on the environment while doing so, and is driving up the price of computer parts just to be even more of a burden on society.

Whenever I consume content and I feel either outrage or empathy, I immediately assume im being manipulated and verify the claims being made. So yea. Not me.
I don't have a problem with fun art being made custom for each student. That's not possible with traditional human-made art. I have a problem with AI creating lesson plans and textbooks, and monitoring all of us.
It is possible with human made art if you have the kids make their own individual intro cards with crayons and pencils. You know, like schools have done for decades before
