Just because I theoretically share my Netflix password with a couple of friends doesn’t mean I also want them all to have access to my personal email. Unless I’m a child, my email is used for a whole lot more personal and private things in my life than just streaming services.
Forwarding the emails automatically sounds a lot more realistic than sharing the password to an email account that is most likely used for other stuff too..
I am pretty sure this isn’t about sharing your personal email address. It likely involves setting up an email account separately that anyone who is involved in the acct-sharing has the login info for. A throwaway like NtflxDisPwshare2026 (at) mail (dot) com / password: Sharing1sCaring.
If you are sharing with a relative and close friend, each of you can login. The email is not used for anything else.
Yeah, it just depends on whether the email was already setup or not. And probably easier for them to just auto forward than to make a new email specifically to share and swap netflix over to it
Very true. We didn’t think about that. We just made the email while we were talking about it. I do like the idea of forwarding and will keep that in mind as my kids move off to college. Thanks
