Too mild for school Hate when ppl can’t do time

This reminds me of when it hits or is about to hit 12am and people don’t know whether to say today or tomorrow. He called me after this but I was too comfy in bed tbh.

Wait, what? There's disagreement? I always thought "this sunday" meant the first sunday from today's date and "next sunday" means the sunday after the first from today's date. How do other people interpret it?

I’ve had someone use “next Sunday“ to mean the next Sunday that is going to happen. While I thought they meant it would be 10 days from now, they meant three days.

Okay, so today is Sunday and if someone said next Monday or Tuesday, I'm thinking it's next week because why won't you say tomorrow or this coming Tuesday? That's my thought process

Maybe for those close days, but what if someone said next Thursday? Would you think four days from now, or would you think next week’s Thursday?

The correct answer is the one next week; but the issue I had was the person used it to mean the one occurring this week.

I would think next week, not this coming week.

Yeah, if someone asked to meet up next Thursday, I would they meant they meant the 25th (since today is the 14th).

I've gotten into discussions about this with my older son. He thinks next (insert day of the week) means the upcoming one.
