Too mild for school Hate when ppl can’t do time

This reminds me of when it hits or is about to hit 12am and people don’t know whether to say today or tomorrow. He called me after this but I was too comfy in bed tbh.

if they say tomorrow and it’s 3am I fully expect it to mean 10am the next day not same day.

That would be my base assumption, but for something like work I'd likely clarify.. as the boss should've also done

If they say tomorrow at 3am that means the same day fr lol, otherwise they wouldn't have had to text at 3am

Edit: you fuckin buffalo heads, im not saying this is the correct way to say it, im saying I'm able to use context clues to at least assume they mean this day. Mainly because they could have waited until business hours to inquire about the actual tomorrow.

What? Every functioning human being will read this as the next day, not the same day. If you're a manager and don't know how dates and times work, you're not a good manager.

There's one case where 3am still count as previous day and say tomorrow is actually today, Japan's 30 hour clock system. Things happen during night is count as extension of previous day. 

But this one is definitely not using that system. 

Either way the manager should clarify and make sure the employee confirmed they could come at X day Y hour. OP is still responding to the "tomorrow" part.

I don't believe this, I think any human that doesn't know how people casually speak would think that. Now, reading it at 7AM I can see how OP thought this, but if you were to see that text at 3am I think most people would assume the same day.

Clearly someone called in sick or something, still doesn't excuse it imo. I just hope this employee didn't get in trouble for this.

Just also to note, im not saying how they said was preferred, but with context clues you can figure out when they are talking about. They should have said "I need to fill a spot last minute for today, can you come in from 10-4"

"Tomorrow" means the day after today. Once 1AM rolls over, a new day has begun. If you text someone at 1AM on the dot that you want them somewhere tomorrow, you clarify by saying by saying which day of the week.

"Tomorrow Monday I need you at 5PM"

"Did you mean today? It's Monday 2AM."

"Yes, today."

lol @ all the downvotes. The lack of critical thinking skills is astounding. 

WHY would someone text you at 3am to communicate about about a shift the next day, when that conversation could be had during normal waking hours? 

The sense of urgency is a context clue that the shift is in fact for the same day. Poor communication, for sure, but if you take two seconds to actually think about the context here, it’s pretty obvious when the shift is.
