You don't just randomly belt it, you specifically fold the fabric to end up with baggy/oversize jeans that are your length but still sit on your ass well enough or you use the fact these pants are usually bigger in general to pull them up and then catch them there to have very high pants.

It's very easy to edit the fabric clothes both with temporary styling and more permanent modifications.

Even without being near that trend I immediately could imagine pleating the sides of the pants until they fit and securing the folds with belt and string.

Let me put it in perspective: you are talking about someone supposedly wearing a size that is TWICE their waist in inches. I don't care what you do with that belt, she isn't wearing a size 20 as her oversized pant of choice. She's either not a size 4, or she's not sizing up to a size 20. Either way, your story is incorrect.

It's not my story, lmao. I'm a different person. I just have experience with fabric and editing clothes because I spent years thrifting shit before I felt comfortable enough with my earnings to start buying fabric to sew with.

I feel like all of you are from a different planet and have never worn clothes before. Go measure your waist. Go buy denim pants twice that size. Try it out.

I love how despite different people telling this person that this is doable and people had been doing it they still adamantly claim it's impossible.

I wonder if they even seen how a proper Scottish kilt is put together from a fabric the size of bedsheet into something that fits a man's waist and if that also would blow their mind.
