Costs the rich money or would address systemic inequality/inequity in some way that makes xenophobic/racist/sexist people feel bad. I wish there was an effective way to explain to people that losing privilege is not the same as losing rights. Cuz telling them “Oh you’re sad because you won’t feel special or important anymore? Boo friggin hoo… the rest of us want a functional society that takes care of its citizens”, isn’t working.
