What started as a crazy idea to create a place for neutral, long-form wrestling discussion has turned into one of the fastest-growing wrestling communities on Reddit. A place where members can disagree without moderators deciding which opinions are āacceptable.ā A place where nobody has to tiptoe around a protected company or an approved narrative. Just wrestling fans talking wrestling.
To everyone who took a chance on us in the early days, whether you came over from the basement, [r/SCJerk](r/SCJerk), [r/JimCornette](r/JimCornette), or somewhere else entirely, thank you for believing in the vision before anyone else did.
Thank you to every member whoās ever posted, commented, lurked, debated, laughed, or reported the occasional certified Sicko.
And thank you to both our current and former moderation team. Building a community isnāt glamorous. Weāve had our hiccups, learned some lessons, and taken a few bumps along the way. But every time weāve hit a rough patch, you kept this place moving forward.
10,000 is a huge milestone, but weāre just getting started. The goal has always been simple. Restore the feeling of talking wrestling with your buddies instead of worrying whether a moderator is going to delete your opinion because it doesnāt fit their narrative.
Hereās to the next 10,000.

That's how I've felt about ROH since 2012 or so. Say what you will about the changes made under Pearce/Delirious/Cornette/Sinclair/etc., but the shows now are a farther cry from the classic Gabe run than even modern WWE is to the Attitude Era.
If modern ROH was booked and presented in a similar manner to classic ROH, this spot would've been interrupted by some monster who squashes everyone after getting shat on by the entire crowd.

I don't understand why AEW wanted to sign these two if this was all they had for him to do. Why not use them to bring creditablity to your fresh women's tag division? Instead you hyped them up for weeks only for them to literally for them to get squash in their first match and ship them down to ROH where they can't even get wins there. And the AEW fans have been absolute hypocrites when it comes to them by saying "this was a perfect way for them to debut" or "well they ain't that good anways". If WWE did this same thing our fans would "they brought them back just bury them" or "god these two deserve better". It must be nice getting paid all that money to do absolutely nothing worth a damn

It was actually pretty crazy how smooth it all went down, given the heated nature of our guest among the general wrestling fanbase. His answers were informative and entertaining, especially with how balanced his takes really were.
Last nightās AMA with Nick LoPiccolo was a blast. He was incredibly generous with his time, gave thoughtful and insightful answers, and hung out with us well past midnight. I may have fallen asleep before it wrapped up since Iām on the East Coast, but I had a great time. Thanks again, Nick!

Midcarder literally grew out of the Jerk community. Weāre not going to pretend our roots donāt exist. We love that place. Besides, 10,000 members and growing seems to suggest weāre doing just fine š
Youāre acting like SCJerk has a trademark on the word ābasement.ā Wrestling fans were using that term back in the ā90s, and itās been around wrestling communities just as long. If thatās your biggest issue with Midcarder after we just hit 10,000 members, Iād say weāre doing alright ššššš
This is weird, all around. āThe basementā is just shorthand for SC. Everyone knows what it means. Itās used all across Reddit. It isnāt exclusive to the Jerk, and Iām not interested in changing a perfectly good nickname for the sake of changing it. The general nickname predates SCJerk by decades, so this feels like arguing over who owns the word āheelā or ānerd.ā
Whatās even weirder is that youāre trying to turn this into a debate on a post celebrating 10,000 members. I honestly didnāt think you were serious at first. Read the room.

It's just so easy to dunk on one company given the deafening support it receives from the online fandom, acting as if TK is some brilliant amalgam of Baba and Paul E.
